Nassau County Police's Fifth Squad described the "unusual incident" April 14 at 10:14 p.m.

According to detectives, Dongil Kim 27, of Flushing was operating a small Cessna aircraft, rented from Danny Waizman Flight School and Aircraft Rental in Farmingdale, when it ran out of fuel, according to department spokesman Det. Vincent Garcia.

While attempting to land, the aircraft struck the roof of Revival Outreach Ministries International, located at 215 Hillside Ave. before becoming entangled in power lines at 113 Clarendon Drive.

The plane was carrying two passengers on board, Jumwoo Jung, 26, and Hongjoo Na, 29, both of Flushing.

Victim Na sustained a minor injury and was treated at scene. Victim’s Kim and Jung did not report any injuries.

"The plane didn't hit the house. It landed a half foot off the ground. Everyone walked away. One of (the passengers) had a sprained finger. It was the worst injury," Garcia told Daily Voice.

The incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration, according to the police report.

As far as police are concerned, there was "no criminality in the incident," Garcia said in an email.
